Promoting financial freedom among teachers, youth and women

To address the increasing youth and women vulnerability to poverty resulting from Unemployment and lack of skills, YIDO under her Livelihood and Business Support Program (LBS) focuses on mobilizing, training and improving the ease of access to business financing through our partner community based micro credit financial institutions like SACCOs in each of our current operating districts. In exchange, YIDO offers capacity building services to our partner SACCOs and other registered member SACCOs under this program.

YIDO’s mobilisation and training expertise in financial literacy and enterprise development has benefited community vulnerable youth, women and teachers in our 25 operating districts across the country. Our trained members are trained and linked to our 25 partner SACCOs for easy access to affordable and business friendly financial support services.

To ensure improved operating efficiency and customer centric service delivery, YIDO has mobilise, registered and trained SACCO management and governing teams in strategic planning, product design, marketing, customer care, record keeping and financial management, loans appraisal and management as well as democratic governance and effective communication with members.
