Open Call for Covid-19 Art Competition

In response to COVID-19, YIDO and our partners (Uganda Police) are launching an online Art campaign for children aged 10 – 18 Years.
We are currently inviting children aged 10 – 18 years across the country to participate in an Online Art Competition through painting, pencil drawing, use of illustrations or any other form of Art to convey a message that can be used to prevent or fight against any of the following; Drug Abuse, Early pregnancy, HIV, Child Abuse OR Covid-19
Note: Choose one topic and use your creativity to convey your message.
Who is Eligible to Participate?
Any Ugandan Aged 10 – 18 Years can participate. You don’t need to be a professional artist at all. You can be creative in your own way. You can either draw by hand or use a computer.
Prizes to be Won
- Winner (500,000 UGX)
- 1st Runners Up (250,000 UGX)
- 2nd Runners Up (150,000 UGX)
- 3rd Runners Up (100,000 UGX)
All the top 30 shortlisted and selected candidates will win a YIDO Shirt and their Art Pieces will published on the YIDO website www.yidouganda.org
How to submit Your Work:
You can submit your Art work through our website, www.yidouganda.org/sac, by filling in a form with the required details and accepting the terms and conditions and then upload the image. Alternatively, the submissions can be made through our Whatsapp number 0783-626020 or through our facebook paage.
How Winners will be selected:
When all the entries are submitted, a team of judges will shortlist the best 30 candidates whose artwork will be published on the YIDO website. Thereafter, the general public will be invited to vote for their favorite art piece online. The public vote will provide a whitelist of the top 10 art pieces from which the top four winning Art pieces will be selected by a panel of Judges.
