YIDO's Involvement in SACCOs & VSLAs

YIDO has been at the helm of promoting financial inclusion under the Livelihoods and Enterprise Support Program. Under this program, YIDO has been reaching out to communities and mobilizing them into savings groups, VSLAs and SACCOS. This had been in various parts of Uganda including Kampala, Rwenzori region, and Kigezi regions. In Total, through YIDO’s interventions, about 28 SACCOs have been established. YIDO is the brain behind the establishment of KYDEVA SACCO in Kamwokya, a model SACCO of 2019 in Kampala and Duterimbere SACCO in Kisoro District.
